Opera Krakowska Lubicz
Since it was established in 1953, the Krakow Opera company has been the city’s leading venue for operatic performances.
Showcasing a diverse range of operas from classics such as Mozart and Verdi to some of the outstanding contemporary works by Polish composers it is not unusual to find the Opera Krakowska Lubicz packed to the rafters.
In addition to opera performances the company also stages operetta and ballet performed independently by the houses dancers. Some productions are aimed at children so check the schedule before you visit.
Peformances are delivered several times a week from early October to mid June, but during the out-of-season period the opera company moves their performances to the street and other historical settings such as Wawel Castle and the Wielickza Salt Mine.
Due its popularity it is best to book tickets in advance to save disappointment.
