The Slowacki Theatre is another of Krakow´s most renowned theatres which can boast a proud history of staging some of the finest plays in the city and attracting the top names in Polish thespian circles.
Originally founded in 1893, its illustrious history boasts a host of classics that have premiered here and was influential in the rise of the famous Fin-de-Siecle.
The architectural design is based on Charles Garnier´s famous Opera House in Paris and the stunning surroundings has also played host to numerous opera performances and from time-to-time continues to stage classic operas today.
Such is the theatre´s popularity, and the reasonable pricing of its tickets, the theatre is often crammed to the rafters during the day, so if you do intend to catch a show, book in advance to save disappointment.

We were impressed with the beautiful architecture and decor. Also, we spent am amazing evening there watching "Ziemia Obiecana" spectacle.
