Located at the foot of Wawel Castle near the Katyn Memorial Cross.
This excellent restaurant offers simple Polish dishes with the waiting staff dressed in costume.
On display outside the the premises is an authentic vintage beer delivery truck with original wooden barrels on board.
Enjoy a great evening with traditional live music being played around the tables as you eat.

Romantic place. I like the jazz music during eating delicious food which they serve. I would definitely recommend this place for dates or special anniversaries. They have also great beer.

OMG. Lots of fresh, tasty meat. Great atmosphere, good service (even though they have a lot of work). Great place for a big dinner with good beer.

I have never seen such a big portions in my life. I like to eat a lot, but I have to admit that in this restaurant I was not able to finish my meal. Food was very good, but we had to wait quite a long time, and then when I still hadn't finished my first meal, I was already given the second one (table very small, there was no space for anything, especially so many dishes at the same time). Live music was very nice but also veeery loud. All in all a restaurant was really good, especially for those who like to eat a lot ;)

I would like to tell you more about this place as I think everybody coming to Krakow, should space a moment for 'Pod Wawelem'.
The place will take you in old times when Krakow was under Austrian rule. The atmosphere in there is fantastic!
In terms of food, well, it's not top end, but it is good, very good! They serve huge portions in very reasonable prices. And definitely it is a plce for meat lovers!
When you are taking your friend for B-day supper, remember to steal some document from him/her and show it to the manager. They will then come to your table and sing 'Happy Bday' and offer a piece of cake!
