Indus Tandoor

Address: Sławkowska 13-15

Area: Old Town

Type: Indian

Price range: Mid Range

Rating: 4.38

Indus Tandoor is as the name plainly implies an Indian restaurant.

The variety is good, as are most of the prices, but one problem with the menu is that the item name is given in English but the description in Polish, what lead to the decision to implement this linguistic discrepancy is unclear.

It is a smaller, cosy place, but very neat and clean, and certainly consistent with the ethnic theme.  The curries are great; smooth yet flavourful, and there are a lot of vegan and vegetarian meals.

Nice place with good food

If you have never tried Indian food, you should visit this restaurant for sure. The best way is to go there with a group of friends, each of them can order different dishes, so you can try different tastes. Some of them are really spicy, so it's good to order natural lassi, which will help with the fire in your mouth.

NICE PLACE IN GREAT LOACTION

Indus is located on Slawkowska which is far less crowded and busy than Florianska or Grodzka but still literally a few steps from th Main Sq.
Food is good (we had chicken) and prices affordable. At the time we were there they had nice lunch sets (served till 4pm as far as I remeber).

Best Indian in Krakow

Krakow has more and more Indian options, but Indus - the oldest Indian restaurant in Krakow, is still the best in my opinion. They recently redesigned the interior, but you come for the curries, and they are always good. My favourite dishes are butter chicken and the various types of naan bread. Good value too.
