Alchemia draws a more bohemian crowd, and is always packed. If you want to meet people who actually reside in Krakow this would be an excellent choice.
The décor is neat, in that it the several rooms that comprise the club are filled with old paintings and antique furniture, and without rhyme or reason. Still, there is a definite charm to the eclectic feel of the place, and it is excusable when there are so many interesting people packed in one place.
If you are sensitive to smoke, you’ll be dealing with both heavy cigarette smoke and candles that are placed all over.

I think it's one of the oldest pubs in krakow. It's pretty much always busy but for a good reason. It has that special atmosphere that you can feel around Kazimierz. Sometimes thay play some concerts. I'd recommend to visit alchemia

I've heard about this place many times from my friends who had visited Cracow before me and.. Everything what I've heard was true :) Amazing place, very stylish and with soul. One of the oldest but still - crowded as hell. Good music, great atmosphere, definitely worth of recommending!

What we really liked about Alchemia was its decor and atmosphere. Despite the fact that it was very crowded and smoky, we were really impressed and glad that we found such a fantastic place to spend our Friday evening.

If you feel like starting your nightout in a nice, cultural atmosphere, Alchemia is for you! Best is to sit outside and just enjoy watching people quieuing for zapiekanka with a nice Zywiec! Also one of the best places for alternative concerts, on the bad side, it is very smoky and dark, but definitely a must go in Kaz!

Alchemia is a great stop for any first time or returning visitor to Krakow. The bar has a very Bohemian vibe and trendy crowd. Its a good place to start or end your night out with a dancefloor in the underground cellar. Lots of tourists and expats, but a popular place with locals as well. If you're in the area give it a try but be prepared to wait for a table.
