Bunkier Sztuki
Address: Plac Szczepański 3A
Area: Old Town
Type: Cafe
Rating: 4.41
Bunkier Sztuki is in a truly modernist building situated in old town Krakow. It is one of the major centers for modern and contemporary art for the whole city, as it filled with various impeccably assembled collections of modern and contemporary pieces including traditional studio art like paintings, drawings and sculpture, as well as other media.
If you spend the whole day looking at new exhibitions or residential galleries, there is a cute outdoor café, perfectly placed with artful decor and sure to satisfy the most loathsome haters of modern art. You will feel most welcome to discuss your favorites.

Extraordinary place with inspiring atmosphere focusing people from vanguard. If you are in Cracow you definitely must take a drink there. The place is ideal for people who love art.

Watching several locals in this conservatory-style cafe start the day in a civilised way (a cheeky beer or vodka) I thought it only right to go by the 'When in Rome' principle. The small tank beer with my (ahem) breakfast was a refreshing, light complement to the lovely scrambled eggs, toast and great coffee I enjoyed before the journey home. My better half had a terrific fresh granola/yoghurt & berries dish. All excellent value.
Sure, you get the occasional faint smell of smoke from the adjoining room; but the food, drink, vibe and parkland view more than make up for it. Two interesting art exhibitions were open either side of the cafe, too.

Being in Cracow you should go there.
It's really artistic, boheme, place. They changed last time the menu, and there are more good dishes

Interesting, for me - really unusual. Perfect for an afternoon coffee combined with a conversation about art, literature ... basically culture. Such is the atmosphere of this place. Unfortunately I was very disturbed with a plastic veil separating the exterior of the cafes of the alleys of trees (called "Planty", if I remember correctly).

I really liked it. Together with my boyfriend we went to the gallery, since we really love modern art. That is how we get to the cafe and spend some really nice hours with coffe and some other drinks. Nice!

Don't forget that Bunker is all about the modern art gallery and the cafe was meant to be just an addition :)

Very nice place with really good coffee. One minus is that, when there is a lot of people you can have a problem with hear person who talk to you.

Well, I like to meet friends over there after work - there is always somebody you know in there. During warm days it is one big open space with tables and chairs outside. Later in the evening it gets busier and over weekends, well, sometimes you just can't find a place to sit. It just proves that people like that place and so do I. Good coffee, cakes and white wine.
Highly recommended!

This is one of the best cafes in Krakow. Always busy and a great place for a coffee or beer, particularly on a nice day. Table service can be a little slow when it is really busy.
