The Jagiellonian University in Krakow houses one of the region’s finest medical institute which attracts the county’s top students; and in recent years a burgeoning number of international students. The University hosts medical degree programs that stand in compliance with Polish, European Union and North American standards. This English language program is particularly appealing to Norwegian and American students who are attracted by the quality of education and low cost living, although students from over 20 countries are enrolled in the 4 or 6 year curriculums.
Aside from the educational aspect, the medical student union has a strong social component and hosts regular events for students and friends, including an annual ball, while also supporting the pastimes of students though organized sport and leisure activities via the Copernica student union (www.copernica.no). Perhaps this can be best illustrated by the Gangnam Style rendition by a few of the current students created.
