 Krakow from Katowice Airport: cheap flights. 

You may also want to look into booking a flight to Katowice airport – the next biggest Polish airport after Krakow. Boasting some of the cheapest flights to Poland available and with good transfer links to Krakow, it’s not a bad option. Approximately 100 km west of Krakow, the A4 motorway connects the two cities, and the distance can be covered by car in just under 1.5 hours. Car hire and taxi pickups direct to your hotel can be pre-booked, and there’s a regular train and bus service to Krakow’s central station, Dworzec Glowny. It’s about a 90 minute journey by bus, and a ticket is reasonably priced at 20 PLN (just under 5). For the train, you’ll first need to take the 45 minute ride by shuttle bus to Katowice’s central railway station, and then the train journey itself takes just shy of 90 minutes – tickets very reasonable at 12 PLN (about £2.50).
