3. The Archdiocesan Museum in Krakow: After earning a doctorate in theology, Karol Wojtyła occupied a small room in Kanonicza Street. Ten years later when he became the Archbishop of Krakow he moved into a nearby house in the same street. Currently, both residences are the part of the Archdiocesan Museum where there is a permanent exhibition dedicated to Pope John Paul II.
4. ‘The Pope's window' in Krakow: From this window Pope John Paul II talked to the thousands of people waiting to catch a glimpse of him and hopefully receive his blessing. This is a very symbolic place to the Poles, as it is where the Pope stayed while in Krakow and now a place permanently linked to him and a place of remembrance for him.
5. St Florian's parish in Krakow: In March 1949 Father Wojtyła was transferred to The Parish of St. Florian in Cracow.

Pilgrimages of John Paul II to Łagiewniki (1997 and 2002) caused the extension of the Sanctuary i.e. the building a new Basilica, that was consecrated on 17th of August 2002 by Pope John Paul II. In this place Pope solemnly entrusted the world to Divine Mercy.
Next Stop:
Kalwaria Zabrzydowska Sanctuary: It is a place of pilgrimage for many Catholics and contains a park complex from the 17th century, placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999.
